Reports coming in......Courtroom packed to the rafters, every seat including jury box full.
Geller spoke well but way too fast. Judge Moreno told him several times to slow down. Harley didn't say anything, Joe Whatley handled the argument for settling plaintiffs.
Basically, Moreno told Geller to try to settle the issue with the parties. Geller said at the end it was mostly defendants who are responsible for that, implying that if some relief is given to his doctor class (and fees) then he will fold into the deal.
Whatley was gentlemanly, remarking that "even friends can be wrong." Moreno basically said that he was concerned and they had until the end of the day to work it out.
My guess is that Harley is not the problem here.

We call him "oink oink" Whatley up north.

Geller's a punk but Whatley's worse. Who spoke for defendants?
Nice blog you have here. I'm not in HMO but I pity anyone who is, getting Whatley to share a fee is the real fight going on here.
I was there. Geller had a valid objection and nobody could adequately respond to his concerns. He had the best presentation and the only reason he talked fast is cause Moreno interrupted him every other word and kept telling him he already made his arguments in the filed papers, but Geller wanted to get in as much as he could in between the Judge's interruption. Geller should win this battle hands down. I agree with whoever called him a punk -- all those plaintiffs lawyers are punks -- but he was way better than the rest of the arrogant lawyers who spoke.
