Local appellate lawyer Wendy Lumish won reversal today of a $60 million judgment in a Ford rollover case. Basically, the trial court let in evidence of "hundreds of deaths" in similar rollovers without trial counsel laying the foundation of substantial similarity.

Wendy is a class act appellate lawyer who does not take unreasonable and unsupportable positions. The opinon makes it very clear that the plaintiff's counsel pushed the issue of comparable accidents and made it, as the court said,a feature of their case. To bad. Of course, you will all remember that Ford did not do as well a couple years back when Ford (and Wendy) got tagged for 30 million and upheld on appeal in a case tried by lawyer to the stars G. Money Dorta.
