Here in status symbol land....
Opened up the paper, learned that 60s singer-songwriter John ("Daydream Believer") Stewart is dead.
Driving in to work, traffic was particularly bad. Usual collection of freaks and geeks in the parking lot. Painful elevator ride. Same homeless lady by the cuban coffee shop. Streets dank and grey. A photo of Dave Ferguson in the DBR.
God, can this day get any worse?

It's about time you followed my lead.
Downtown gets worse and worse and no one gives a damn about it. We're moving to the Gables like everyone else.

You shouldn't complain about the traffic in Miami. You have such beautiful scenery, palm trees, the the ocean and all the beautiful people strolling by. Currently, driving where I live means getting all bundled up like an Eskimo and driving through blizzard-like conditions.
I wouldn't mind driving through the streets of Miami in my shiny little sports car with the top down. Where would I go? Bal Harbour Mall most likely. After shopping at Dior and Versace I would have lunch at the Bal Harbour Bistro indulging my tummy with Mrs. Grimbletorte's cheesecake. Yes I admit it, the Cocaine Princess has a sweet tooth.
