I love it when science catches up to science fiction, especially when it involves Star Trek:
Oxford scientists have created a transparent form of aluminium by bombarding the metal with the world’s most powerful soft X-ray laser. 'Transparent aluminium' previously only existed in science fiction, featuring in the movie Star Trek IV, but the real material is an exotic new state of matter with implications for planetary science and nuclear fusion.See Mom? I told you it was educational.

Unfortunately, this fact does not leave me feeling any better about my prior Star Trek Uniform wearing days.

All this sci-fi geek talk makes me tingly.
Are you kidding? Everything I know I learned from Star Trek. Now get me a drink or I'll phase your tits off.
Does Scott own a jacket or tie?
Yeah it's like the star wars movies for example the first 3 movies of 90s were a success and the last three movies of the years 2000 they have better effect but people prefered the first 3.
