I guess everyone has their own idea of what an attorney should be. I remember swearing to "maintain the respect due to courts of justice and judicial officers". There are scores of lawyers in this town doing tremendous things (many of them entertaining as well). His fans may call it 'hating' but Im not sure why a blog if this caliber needs to repeatedly highlight this guy. After all our time together, I expect more from you SFL!
Spence doesn't need me to defend him, but perhaps my focus on him may be misunderstood.
I happen to have tremendous respect and admiration for Spencer -- he's a fearless advocate for his clients, a self-made man who built his own firm from scratch, formed Lawyers to the Rescue, wrote a book etc.
Do I poke fun at him sometimes -- sure, he is out there so often it's impossible for me not to -- plus he often deserves it. That doesn't negate how I feel about him.
When you step back and look at all the lawyer scandals we have had recently, I'll take a knife-welding Dr. Phil-appearing, Hanukah-lighting, stage-clearing media-loving Spencer any day.
