Armistice Day.

Amid the many untold or little-known tragedies of that great conflict, the heartbreaking and courageous saga of British nurse Edith Cavell certainly ranks high.

Although her story at one time was celebrated in film, art, street names and even commemorative stamps, few remember her today.

"Patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone."
