Among those issues: transgender rights and fighting to allow gay and bisexual men to donate blood. For decades after the start of the AIDS crisis, the Food and Drug Administration banned men from donating blood if they had had sex with other men since 1977. In late 2015, the FDA began allowing gay and bisexual men to donate blood if they have been celibate for at least a year.Seems like a good thing -- congratulations Dale!
