Trial by Combat!

If this becomes a thing I'd definitely reconsider becoming a lawyer!
When you play the game of thrones, you win, or you get sued for malpractice.
A Staten Island attorney wants to turn a game of legal briefs with another lawyer into a real life "Game of Thrones".
Richard Luthmann, 35, is so obsessed with George R.R. Martin's popular fantasy series that he has filed a legal brief requesting trial by combat to settle a dispute with another lawyer, the NY Post reported. He calls it "a matter of honor," and believes that it's still legally acceptable.
In his brief filed last month, Luthmann aimed to prove that trial by combat, in which a person accused of crimes can opt for one-on-one fighting in place of a trial, was never specifically outlawed in New York or in the U.S. generally.
"The common law of Britain was in effect in New York in 1776," Luthmann told The Post.
"And the Ninth Amendment of the Constitution recognizes the penumbra of those rights," he said adding, "It's still on the books."
Gifted with warrior's clarity, I never lose!

  1. GW I know the oversized attachments annoy you but as adjusted the attachment is too small of a font to read. I think it should be back to original size.

  2. I chose a third option, hope you like it!
