Let's Give the Malevolent Idiot the Benefit of the Doubt!

As resident dungeon master of this motley monkey house, my feelings on Aging Dum Dum are well-known, but I rise to take issue with my good friend and fellow monkey master Rumpole: -- it's true Jackson died well before the Civil War, but issues of state's rights, various slavery compromise proposals etc. were always part of the American political fabric right from our very founding. No reason not to engage the idiot on fair terms.

The bigger point for me was that Jackson was a homicidal whack-job scalphunter, who rampaged through our sunny climes like Cormac McCarthy's brilliantly savage Judge Holden.

Maybe the media can focus on that.

Happy Yom Ha'atzmaut y'all!
